Jack Donahue of the Coral Springs Clippers travel baseball team had a summer to remember playing for the Coral Springs Clippers.
The two-way star helped the Clippers win 14 games this season. He slashed .515/ 701/ 1.385 with 20 RBIs and also made 12 starts on the mound with starts, recording five wins and striking out 64.
Jack, whose older brother played college football at Florida International University, has been working with his coach, Willie Medina, on bringing “the nub of the bat to and through the ball.”
He is also trying to be patient at the plate while on the mound and is getting more and more comfortable with his fastball. Jack says his major improvement area is with his of-speed pitches.
This year, he hopes to play high school baseball for North Broward Prep.
