It will be “anchors away” when J.P Taravella High School Drama performs the musical Anything Goes February 1 – 3.
The upbeat musical filled with songs by Cole Porter takes place on an ocean liner in the 1930’s following the story of Billy, the employee of a Wall Street tycoon who stows away on the S.S. American to follow the girl of his dreams. He’s accompanied by characters Reno Sweeney, a nightclub evangelist and MoonFace Martin, Public Enemy Number 13, whose crazy antics are sure to leave you laughing. Featuring songs such as “I get a Kick out of You”, “Anything Goes” and “Friendship”, this musical filled with show stopping dance numbers will have you toe tapping along.
Performances are on Thursday, February 1, and Friday, February 2 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday February 3 at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets for “Anything Goes” performances are available online here for $12.00. Tickets will also be available at the box office one hour prior to showtime for $15.00.
