Juvenile Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Coral Springs E-Moto Crash

A juvenile riding an electric dirtbike suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car Monday night at the entrance to a Coral Springs shopping plaza, police said.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:18 p.m. Jan. 19 at the entrance to the 800 block of University Drive at Atlantic Crossings Plaza, according to Coral Springs Police.
Police said the crash involved a 2025 Toyota Corolla driven by an adult male and an Ultra Bee electric dirtbike operated by a juvenile male.
A preliminary investigation determined that the juvenile was traveling south on University Drive on the Ultra Bee while the Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on University Drive and making a left turn into the Atlantic Crossings Plaza. Police said contact was made between the two vehicles as the car was turning.
The juvenile rider sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision, police said.
Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue responded to the scene, and the injured juvenile was transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment, according to police.
Multiple witnesses remained at the scene and provided statements to investigators.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
