The City of Coral Springs is launching its Let’s Move! initiative with a free boxing session led by Commissioner Joshua Simmons on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. at ABC Boxing, 7740 Wiles Road.
The event is open to residents of all ages and fitness levels, designed to promote health, wellness, and community engagement.
Participants are invited to join Simmons in a low‑impact boxing class. While gloves will be available, organizers recommend attendees bring their own, along with comfortable clothing, sneakers and water. Space is limited, and pre‑registration is required.
This is the first installment of a series that will feature additional activities with other commissioners. Next up is a pickleball session with Commissioner Shawn Cerra on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riverside Park. Participants should bring paddles, water, sneakers and comfortable attire.
Both events are part of the city’s broader effort to improve community health and foster connections among residents, regardless of age or skill level.
For more information or to register, residents can visit the Coral Springs events directory or contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 954‑344‑2200.
