On December 13, Local 10’s Big Bus Toy Express brought holiday cheer to The Walk in Coral Springs, marking a pivotal stop on its tour supporting the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
The event was held at The Walk, 2750 N. University Drive, and featured a live broadcast with Channel 10’s on-air personalities, Eric Yutzy and Betty Davis.
Guests were treated to a festive atmosphere, including a visit from Santa, free ice cream courtesy of Kilwin’s Coral Springs, and even a special appearance by Olaf the Snowman.
“The event was a great success,” said Gillian Johnson, The Walk’s Director of Marketing and Business Services. “For weeks prior to December 13, Amera and various businesses at The Walk collected toys at several locations leading up to this wonderful day.”
As part of the festivities, Local 10 recorded a heartfelt “thank you” promo alongside The Walk team. Eric Yutzy, who hosted the first part of the Big Bus Toy Express tour, passed the baton to Betty Davis for the second leg. Both anchors joined forces for the Coral Springs stop, showcasing the community’s generosity during their noon broadcast.
A highlight of the event was Amera’s Gisele Rahael presenting a $1,000 donation live on air.
