A man was arrested for throwing a brick through the window of a BMW in Coral Springs earlier this month, just weeks after he shattered a home’s window with a rock, court records show.
According to Coral Springs Police, Alonzo Hill, 31, of Pompano Beach, hurled the brick into the silver 2000 BMW 328 in an unspecified location on Aug. 2. Hill was identified as the rock-throwing suspect and caught on Aug. 12 when officers spotted him in the 11400 block of Northwest 45th Street, records show.
Hill said he threw the brick into the BMW because the car’s owner was involved in a domestic battery incident with a woman Hill knew, according to an arrest affidavit.
When police searched Hill, they found marijuana they said he planned to sell, records show.
Police also charged Hill in a July 18 incident where he threw a rock through the window of a Coral Springs home, causing $700 in damage, the affidavit states.
The home’s location was redacted from court records.
Hill was charged with throwing a missile into a dwelling, criminal mischief, and marijuana possession with intent to sell.
He was being held on a $9,000 bond at the Broward County Main Jail Sunday.
