A Coral Springs man was arrested and charged with two counts of molestation of a four-year-old victim.
On April 10, the Coral Springs Police Department received a call from a man, later identified as Mark Felton, 67, who claimed he was a registered sex offender who was turning himself in for molesting a four-year-old victim a few days prior. He decided to contact the police so the family could begin the healing process.
According to the report, officers transported Felton to an interview room where he told them he had touched the child inappropriately while he was babysitting.
Felton told police that before he assisted the victim with her homework, he would “have a tickle session” with the victim that consisted of the child wearing a dress and sitting on his lap, then him rubbing his hands all over her body. He denied ever penetrating the victim.
Felton told officers he knew what he was doing was wrong and later texted an apology victim’s mother. He also said the victim knew what had happened was wrong and had told her parents that he had touched her.
The report said police brought in the victim and interviewed her about the incident.
Felton was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
