With a little luck and a lot of community spirit, Coral Springs is coming to life this March with engaging activities and meaningful opportunities for everyone to connect and celebrate.
The Coral Springs Museum of Art (2855 Coral Springs Drive) will host Art & Mimosas: A Brunch to Benefit the Arts on Sunday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can enjoy a curated menu of seasonal dishes catered by Livello and bottomless mimosas, all to support the arts.
No time for malarkey—there’s celebrating to be done! The city will host the first-ever Blarney Bash, a celebration of Irish culture on Friday, March 14 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the City Hall Lawn (9500 W Sample Road.) the event will feature food trucks, entertainment, games, and more.
Other events taking place this month include Open Play Chess on Wednesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 19, Wacky Olympics on Friday, March 7, Shred-a-thon on Saturday, March 15, and Juice Box Jam on Thursday, March 20. Information about all city events can be found at CoralSprings.gov/Events.
The city is proud to sponsor, support, and welcome back the annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts, held at The Walk on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Walk a day in the shoes of our mayor or commissioners as part of our Mayor for the Day program. Selected students, from 3rd to 12th grade, will have the opportunity to experience a day in the life of our elected officials by accompanying them to meetings, engaging in discussions with city leaders, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how local government operates. Finally, March is Women’s History Month, a time to honor and celebrate the remarkable contributions, achievements, and resilience of women throughout history. This month, get to know our city’s female leaders, including our first female City Manager, Catherine Givens, by following along on our social media channels.
This month’s Commission Meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. As always, the public is invited to attend Commission meetings. The meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725 and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
