Don’t know what a Star Wars Sith is? Then watch this.
By Sharon Aron Baron
Local Star Wars fans will have the chance to travel to a galaxy far, far away —without leaving Coral Springs — at a special, themed Bites-N-Sips on Friday, May the Sith — or 6th.
Held at City Hall, the event titled “May the Sith” includes food trucks, cocktail stations, vendors, music, and most importantly, Star Wars-themed activities.
Guests can take part in a themed costume contest with a chance to win Disney gift cards. First and a panel of Star Wars enthusiasts will select second-place winners in both child and adult categories.
Each first-place winner will receive a $200 Disney gift card. Two second-place winners will each receive a $50 Disney Gift Card. All contestants will receive a participation prize.
The costume contest begins at 7:15 p.m. Participants must register in advance at the City of Coral Springs orange tent from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Space is limited.
Rounding out the theme, guests can also interact with roaming Star Wars characters, take part in a Chewbacca “Roar” contest, and enjoy the playing of the “Imperial March” by the Coral Springs Charter School Marching Band.
Child attendees will enjoy an inflatable AT-AT Walker obstacle course and can create an “out-of-this-world” Mother’s Day card for the special mom or mother-figure in their lives.
