Coral Springs Museum of Art.
The Coral Springs Museum of Art and the Coral Springs Center for the Arts are showing appreciation to local veterans and active-duty military members this summer with a gesture of gratitude.
Beginning Saturday, June 14, in honor of Flag Day, and continuing through the week of Labor Day, veterans and active-duty military personnel who present a valid military ID can receive one free non-alcoholic beverage—coffee, tea, soda, or canned water—for themselves and a guest during their visit to the Museum, located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive. Additionally, each will receive a small American flag as a token of appreciation. The offer is limited to one-time use per veteran and guest.
Military members can also take advantage of a 10% discount on select performances at the adjacent Coral Springs Center for the Arts by showing their military ID at the box office.
Visitors to the museum will also have the opportunity to view Honoring the Brave: Artifacts from Time Spent in Service, a special display of military memorabilia on loan from the Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs. The collection, curated by local veteran and longtime museum volunteer William “Bill” Vasquez, will be featured in the Center for the Arts lobby throughout the summer.
While the Coral Springs Museum of Art is always free to the public, this initiative aligns with the national Blue Star Museums program, which offers free admission to museums nationwide for military families. The Coral Springs program aims to provide added value, increased visibility for veterans, and a welcoming invitation for military families to explore the arts.
