Reserve your spot for the 2019 Government Academy and learn how local government runs.
Coral Springs Government Academy provides citizens with essential information about services and operations, as well as engage, inform and prepare residents for a more active role in community service in Coral Springs.
The academy will take place Thursdays on the following dates: October 10, 17, 24 and November 7 and 14, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Participants must commit to attending all five sessions. The classes will take place at various city facilities around Coral Springs — and dinner is included.
The program will address the complex task of running a municipality and participants will meet city commission members, the city manager, and staff. Topics will include public safety, utilities, parks and recreation, and community development.
The Government Academy is free and open to Coral Springs residents 16 and older. Current committee members and board appointees are encouraged to attend.
Class size is limited up to 25 people, and participants must register in advance. To register or for more information, call Delia Wharton at 954-344-1150 or visit www.CoralSprings.org/ga.
