Riverside Elementary PTO Invites Community and Vendors to Fundraiser Garage Sale on December 3

Riverside Elementary School has planned a fundraising event to help fund the digitalization of their marquee sign.

Riverside Elementary School will host “Rocky Fun Run,” a fundraising event packed with fun, challenges, and community spirit at Riverside Park on April 17, 2024.

The lofty fundraising goal of $35,000 aims to usher in a digital transformation for the school.

“Every spring, our Fun Run encapsulates the spirit of Riverside, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. It’s not just about the run; it’s a day filled with joy, challenges, and school pride,” Janice Roldan, Vice President of the Riverside Elementary PTO, shared with Coral Springs Talk.

This year’s event will feature an obstacle course that includes the Speedy Spokes Relay, The Floor is Lava Contest, Wheels of Freedom, Jumping Beans, and Mount Riverside.

“We designed these activities to engage every student and ensure they leave with memories they cherish,” Roldan said.

The PTO has also unveiled an array of top prizes to incentivize fundraising efforts, including a school-wide foam party, a glow art paint party, and the opportunity for one student to become ‘Principal for a Day,’ complete with a catered lunch.

The top prize? The top earner will receive two tickets to Universal Studios, promising an adventure beyond the school gates.

“This digital marquee is more than just an upgrade; it’s a new chapter in how we connect, share, and celebrate our achievements,” Roldan said.

Should the fundraising exceed expectations, additional funds will beautify the school environment and enhance technological resources.

For those unable to attend, contributions of water, sports drinks, snacks, or even gift cards are welcomed.
