Savvy Sliders has announced its acquisition of BurgerFi, a Florida-based fast-casual chain celebrated for its chef-driven menu and signature BurgerFi Cheeseburger.
This acquisition brings Savvy Sliders’ combined portfolio, including Happy’s Pizza and Fat Boy’s Pizza, to a total of 206 locations nationwide.
BurgerFi, which has a Coral Springs location at The Walk, operates 85 locations across 15 states, will continue to function under its current name and branding as a sister company to Savvy Sliders.
According to a statement from the company, BurgerFi has built a loyal customer base with its all-natural menu items, including 100% American Angus Beef burgers, Wagyu beef options, antibiotic-free chicken, hand-cut fries, natural hot dogs, and frozen custard shakes.
According to Savvy Sliders, Burgerfi has earned numerous accolades, including “The Very Best Burger” at the 2023 SOBE Wine and Food Festival and “Best Fast Casual Restaurant” in USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards from 2021 to 2023.
“BurgerFi shares our commitment to using the highest-quality, freshest ingredients in each menu item while prioritizing the customer’s dining experience,” said Happy Asker, CEO and Founder of Savvy Sliders. “We are pleased to add their award-winning chain to our family of restaurants and look forward to working with their wonderful franchisees and team. With our infrastructure in place, we’ll continue to build upon BurgerFi’s ‘Never Ever Program,’ ensuring customers receive the quality they know and love.”
The “Never Ever Program” ensures BurgerFi’s beef remains free from steroids, antibiotics, growth hormones, chemicals, or additives. This dedication to quality has solidified its position as a leader in the better-burger segment, attracting health-conscious diners nationwide.
Savvy Sliders has a location at 2400 W Commercial Blvd in Tamarac and has rapidly expanded to 52 locations in Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.
Known for innovative products and fresh ingredients, the brand offers a world-class customer experience and continues to grow as America’s leading slider chain.
The acquisition adds to the impressive portfolio of Happy’s Pizza and Fat Boy’s Pizza, two additional fast-growing restaurant brands. Happy’s Pizza, with 60 locations in Michigan and Ohio, is known for its diverse menu and affordability. Meanwhile, Fat Boy’s Pizza, boasting oversized pizzas and giant slices, operates nine locations across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
