Coral Springs High School star basketball player Alex Pierre-Louis achieved a milestone this week, recording 1,000 career points on varsity.
The senior has been on the varsity team since he was in eighth grade and has led the Colts to a strong start this year following a 9-2 record. CSHS had won six of their first seven games this year, while Pierre-Louis had a season-high of 42 points during their win over Dillard High School.
CSHS also has wins over J.P. Taravella, Charles W. Flanagan, Miami Palmetto, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Cypress Bay, Piper, Cooper City, and Coconut Creek High School while losing to Western High School and Saint Andrews School in the Kruel Classic.
The girls basketball team has also had plenty of success and is 7-2 this year. They doubled up Coconut Creek High School 62-31 in the last game and are led by Nethania Noel-Jeune, averaging 17 points per game.
