A new business dedicated to a wellness-based approach to canine health has opened its doors in Coral Springs.

Founded in Jupiter, Scenthound, now located at 5940 Coral Ridge Drive, and is the world’s only wellness-based dog groomer whose focus is on taking care of the skin, coat, ears, nails, and teeth — or SCENT to keep all breeds of dogs healthy.

The brand, which offers dog parents simple membership options to ensure their pet is getting the routine care it needs, is owned by Coral Springs family, Stacy, Jason, and their son Brandon Klein. Before opening Scenthound, Stacy was a special education teacher, while Jason works as a dentist in Boynton Beach.

Stacy feels they can really make a difference in dogs and their parents’ lives. With Jason’s career in dentistry, they know the importance of regular maintenance visits.

“We got to know Scenthound and realized these concepts are just as important with your pets. We are so excited to help dogs avoid health problems and keep them comfortable and clean.”

The concept was founded in 2015 after CEO Tim Vogel spent more than ten years running both a mobile grooming business and grooming shops and seeing first-hand the shortcomings within the booming pet industry and the lack of education surrounding dog grooming.

He began a mission to give dogs and their owners a fast, easy, and affordable solution that not only keeps them clean and looking great but maintains their overall health and wellness.

“Not only are we expanding nationally, but we are strengthening our presence right here at home,” said Vogel.

According to Scenthound, their “Scent Techs” are trained to give each dog the care it requires — regardless of the breed — and the membership program allows dog parents to have the peace of mind that their dog is cared for on a routine basis.

Currently with five corporately-owned locations, all in Palm Beach County. Scenthound’s new location in Coral Springs opens Monday, December 14.

“We are so excited to be joined by some amazing franchise partners who are ready to take care of the dogs in their communities across South Florida,” said Vogel. “With each new Scenter that opens, we can continue to remove barriers so that people can love and connect with their dogs every day.”
