Temple Beth Orr in Coral Springs is celebrating its 50th Anniversary year with programs, including the Annual Coral Springs/Parkland Pre-Thanksgiving Interfaith Unity Service.
Held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Temple Beth Orr, the much-anticipated annual event draws people of all faiths from over a dozen local houses of worship.
For over 30 years, this service has featured a combined choir of all participating congregations, a joint children’s choir, and a presentation by the mayors of Coral Springs and Parkland.
This year, Temple Beth Orr is collecting canned goods to help feed the needy. A cash offering will also be taken.
A local tradition since 1991, the Unity Service brings together members of the richly multi-faceted communities. The local Clergy Coalition of Coral Springs and Parkland works together on the inspirational prayer content within the framework of a musical program designed by the choral directors of all four sponsor congregations.
The joint choir and children’s choir are made up of members of all participating congregations. To maximize the interfaith aspects of the Unity Service, the preacher invited to offer the evening’s sermon is not the spiritual leader of the host congregation.
Everyone is welcome to attend this year’s event. For more information about the Pre-Thanksgiving Interfaith Unity Service, please contact the spiritual leader of your house of worship or call Temple Beth Orr at 954-753-3232 x201, located at 2151 Riverside Drive Coral Springs.
