The Walk at Coral Springs, a popular retail and dining destination, invites residents to support a long-standing holiday tradition of giving.
In the spirit of the holidays, The Walk of Coral Springs is hosting an annual Toys for Tots Drive on Friday, December 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
As part of The Walk’s effort to support the cause, residents are invited to participate by bringing new, unwrapped toys.
As a highlight of the event, Local 10’s Big Bus Toy Express will appear from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. outside the big fountain at 2750 North University Drive, where Kristi Krueger from Channel 10 WPLG and the Marine Corps will be on hand to welcome those who donate toys.
Attendees will also enjoy live music from the Krush Party Band from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Originating in 1947, Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
For those that can’t make the event and would prefer to contribute beforehand, several pre-event drop-off locations are available at The Walk, including Amera at 2900 North University Drive, Chicken Salad Chick at 2908 North University Drive and Incontro Italian Cuisine and Steakhouse at 2752 North University Drive.
