North Springs Little League had two teams competing in the State Tournament, with both squads earning at least one victory during their runs.
The Intermediate (50/70) team put together an impressive performance, picking up wins over NOL Little League and Manatee West Little League. Their only loss came against Windermere Little League. Despite finishing with a 2-1 record and ending in a tie in the standings, North Springs was eliminated on the runs-against tiebreaker.
The Juniors (13U) team finished 1-2 at the State Tournament, earning its lone victory over Zephyrhills Little League. The team’s losses came against Dr. Phillips Little League and Lake Mary Little League. North Springs advanced to the State Tournament after capturing the District Championship over Parkland Little League. The team then punched its ticket to states during the Section Tournament in Cutler Bay, rallying for a 6-5 victory in the opener before securing a 10-3 win in the championship game.
The lone North Springs team still in postseason action is the 11U squad. After winning its District Championship, the team will begin play in the Section Tournament on July 17 with a chance to advance to the State Tournament.
