Parents of Coral Springs and Parkland students will be proud that four of the top finalists in the 2015 Broward County Public Schools Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Awards are from their area and maybe from their own schools.
This year Coral Springs High School’s Susan Leon-Leigh was named a finalist for Principal, and for Assistant Principal Sawgrass Springs Middle School’s Matthew Bianchi; Coral Glades High School’s Paul Satty; and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s Denise Reed were named finalists.
All of the finalists were described as “charismatic, dedicated, committed, extraordinary leader, champion, innovative, insightful and passionate” by their colleagues. The winner will be announced at the annual Caliber Awards recognizing Broward’s outstanding employees on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
