The Bad Girls travel basketball team has had a historic summer, with four teams winning multiple championships.
The sixth-grade team took first place in the USSSA Nationals. Their team comprises Samantha Hill, Iley Levita, London Greene, Izabelle Alvarado, Nahla Fils, Briley Daniel, Kiara Campbell, Ayailah Daley, Alyssa Wan, and Pheonix Reid.
The seventh-grade team of Janiya Joastsin, Destiny Carter, Jada Cherenfant, Ayailah Daley, Alyssa Birch, Caylee Innocent, and Ayah El went undefeated and beat Force Lay Rams 45-23 in the Championship Game.
The eighth-grade team has won a pair of championships in the past two weeks. They first won the USSNA Nationals last week before winning again on Monday with Kristijana Carattini, Elayna Garzon, Elisabeth Garzon, Catalina Robilio, Brianna Lovett, Ke’Nya Clark, Trezure Reese, Ysamar Pimental, and Nayeli Firmin,
The high school team also dominated and was led by Ermani Lewis, who had averaged 20 points per game and four blocks from Carissa Marthy. They remain the only undefeated team in South Florida and will next play in Atlanta on July 20-21 before heading to Orlando for the National Championship on July 22-24.
The rest of its teams consist of Valerie Lespinasse, Jasmine Gordon, Aliana Mcguire, Janyah Holmes, Camryn Smith, Trinety Dajuste, Gabriela Quimiz, Cynthia Pierre-Louis, Rhael Sayers, Lyanna Forsythe, Janelle Swaby, and Madisun Hill.
