The Grand Opening date was officially announced today for the new 4 Rivers Smokehouse in South Florida – located in Coral Springs.
Announced today by Chef-Owner John Rivers, the opening date is set for Thursday, September 8. The Coral Springs location will be their 14th restaurant and will span more than 5,000-square-feet with 190 indoor/outdoor seats tucked inside The Walk of Coral Springs shopping center located at 2660 North University Drive.
Established in 2009, 4 Rivers Smokehouse is known for its cross-regional approach to barbecue, leading with the brand’s signature 18-Hour Smoked Angus Brisket, which is projected to tip the scale at 1.5 million pounds sold this year. At each Smokehouse, guests are welcomed into a fast casual setting with a carving station warm with cut-to-order proteins followed by a selection of “Homestyle Sides.” Traditional Smokehouse offerings lead the way with options ranging from Pulled Pork and Chicken to Burnt Ends, Tri-Tip and a Brontosaurus Beef Rib for the carnivore purest.
Among the eight composed “Signature Stackers,” favorites are the Smokehouse Cuban, BBQ Street Tacos, the Texas Destroyer, smoked brisket topped with onion rings, jalapeños and melted provolone cheese and the Messy Pig, pulled pork between two layers of slaw, pickles and jalapeños – all of which have the option to be combined with two sides and range from $6.49 to $10.99. Sixteen mix-and-match “Homestyle Sides” are made fresh daily and include 4R BBQ Beans, Collards and Smoked Jalapeños as well as vegetarian-friendly offerings like John’s Potato Salad, Texas Cornbread and Baked Cheese Grits. All sides can be plated as a Lunch ($6.99, choose three) or Dinner Sideboard ($9.49, choose five) with a biscuit. A newly launched “From the Farm” section offers five meat-free offerings while Southern-inspired desserts round out the menu and include Bread Pudding, Fried Oreos, and the signature Banana Dream Pudding and Chocolate Awesomeness.
Recognized as one of the “Top 10 Breakout Brands” by Nation’s Restaurant News, 4 Rivers Smokehouse is nationally recognized for their dedication to the art of smoking. National acknowledgements of Rivers and the Smokehouse have been seen in Cooking with Paula Deen, Bon Appétit, Cowboys & Indians, Saveur, The Local Palate and Food & Wine magazine.
Rivers’ cookbook, The Southern Cowboy along with his sauces and rubs will be available for purchase in store and online. Select 4 Rivers Smokehouse’s are home to the brand’s dedicated bakery, The Sweet Shop, with whimsical desserts and custom cakes that are as creative as they are delicious.
