Come meet Congressman Ted Deutch when he updates residents on his work in Washington and takes questions on an array of domestic and foreign policy issues at a town hall meeting on Wednesday at the Coral Springs Charter School.
Deutch, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Ranking Democrat on the influential Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee recently announced his decision to oppose the P5+1 nuclear agreement with Iran.
On July 23, Deutch joined Rep. David Cicilline (RI-1) as an original cosponsor of the Equality Act, legislation that would ban discrimination against LGBT Americans in public accommodations, housing, employment, and other core areas of daily life. The Equality Act would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
The event will also feature a presentation of Congressional Recognition for two Coral Springs’ residents, Meghan Burns and Jeremy Teitler, who discovered the medals of a fallen Vietnam Veteran, Private First Class Geoffrey Douglas Radcliffe Saunders, and helped return them to his sister Darlene Stosik of Pembroke Pines, Florida. The Town Hall Meeting will take place Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Coral Springs Charter School at 3205 North University Drive, Coral Springs, FL.
