The more beautiful a city is, the greater chance it has of attracting higher housing prices and greater housing appreciation.
In fact, urban beauty ties with lower taxes as the most important predictor of overall population growth in cities, according to a study.
Coral Springs is committed to keeping the city clean by celebrating World Clean Up day with a “Keep Coral Springs Beautiful” event on Saturday, September 18.
“The Keep Coral Springs Beautiful clean-up events reflect our ongoing commitment to not only take care of our community but also our planet,” said City Commissioner Nancy Metayer. “The simple act of cleaning binds us to work towards the same goal –- a clean city to live, work and play and provides a great opportunity for volunteerism.”
Volunteers must register by September 13 and be 14 years old or older. Service hours will be awarded to high school students. Once registered, they will receive via email their assigned location. The event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 11 a.m.
The event also includes a free lunch for volunteers after the clean-up.
Additionally, Keep Coral Springs Beautiful, an Adopt-A-Street program in partnership with the Community Foundation of Broward, will hold another event on November 20, 2021.
