Coral Springs Police Union To Award College Scholarships to 2022 Graduates
March 15, 2022 • By Kevin DeutschBy Kevin Deutsch
The Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation will award college scholarship money to several soon-to-be high school graduates, with awards varying from $500 to $1,000 each, the union announced this week.
Union officials said that the scholarship program is open to high school seniors residing in Coral Springs.
Last year, the Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation FOP Lodge 87, a non-profit organization of law enforcement officers, awarded scholarships to nine high school seniors.
“We’re happy to be able to once again offer this scholarship program,” said Paul Kempinski, Vice President of the FOP lodge. “It’s important to our organization to give back to the community. We’re so happy to have expanded this program over the last several years to give out more scholarships than in previous years. Our scholarship committee members are always amazed at the impressive work of the candidates.”
