After another solid regular season, Coral Springs Charter track and field competed in the District Championship on April 28 at Calvary Christian Academy.
The Panthers will be sending four players: Caleb Makovsky, Jeremyah Illsaint, Brock Wilson, and Michael Snow. They came in fourth in the 4 x 100 relay. Illsaint will be advancing to Regionals in the long jump after coming in third.
Alexandra Bruno is the lone Panthers to move on for the girls after coming in second place in the shot put.
For the middle school team, they competed in their final race of the season. The Panthers’ best result came from the boys coming in the 4 x 100 relay, with Jayden Doverspike, Aiden Newman, Noah Yarbough, and William Wizst coming in second with a time of 53.27. Wizst also came in fourth in the 800 meters, while Chase Powell, Max Mueller, Lucas Werth, and Justin Laroche came in seventh in the 4 x 400.
Werth, Powell, Justin Laroche, and Jason Robertson finished in the top ten. Other competitors for the Panthers were Tommy Foster, Aidan Newman, and Kameron Jalil.
The girl’s team had their best result in the 4 x 100 relay, with Cameron Broeckelmann, Ava Dorvil, Arianna Doles, and Giuliana Kostic finishing .01 seconds in front of Calvary Christian. Riley Gentile, Annabella Thornberry, Lily Richardson, and Mackenzie Spang came in third in the 4 x 400 relay.
Individually, Gentile placed third in the 1600 meters and fifth in the 800. with Richardson, Thornberry, and Doles picking up points for the Panthers. CSC also had Laurie Pierre-Louis, Vanetina Reid and Emma Newland compete.
