Coral Springs High School football had a terrific spring season and finished it off with an 8-6 win over Hallandale High School on May 18.
This was the first time Head Coach Fred Flowers got to see his team in action and was satisfied with how they played.
“They worked really hard to get themselves into shape,” said Coach Flowers. “I felt we were in better shape than them, and that helped us as we didn’t quit.”
After falling behind 6-0, the Colts scored their only touchdown after Tyrese Gordon got pressure on the quarterback. Keshhawn Murray then recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown before Jayvyn Earley ran in the two-point conversion. He also finished with 130 rushing yards in the win.
