A local travel baseball team is set to host a dinner with their sights set on raising enough money to make it to Cooperstown.
The Original Florida Pokers 2030 travel youth baseball team has launched a fundraising initiative to help fulfill their dream of playing in the renowned Cooperstown baseball tournament in New York this summer.
As part of their efforts, the team has planned a Spaghetti Dinner that will take place on Saturday, January 20, 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post #157, located at 1791 Mears Parkway in Margate.
Composed of players aged 11 to 12, the team includes seven remarkable young stars attending Coral Springs Charter and six families living there. In addition, one of the team’s coaches is also the head coach for the Coral Springs Middle School baseball team.
Florida Pokers is offering attendees the choice to dine in or take out. Adult meals are priced at $15 and children’s at $10. All ages are welcome to dine in or order takeaway.
