The 12U Age Group Duet, which received 1st place
The City of Coral Springs transformed into a hub of artistic athleticism as it hosted the World Invitational Artistic Swimming Meet from May 17-19.
The event saw over 250 athletes from across the globe, representing teams such as JAM United from Jamaica, Cayman Islands AS Club, Flagler County Belles, Swordfish Aquatics from Curacao, Isalen AS Club from Ecuador, Santa Clara Aquamaids, Charlottesville Swans, New Canaan Aquianas, Houston SynchroStars, Westside Aquatic, Synchro Sirens, Meraques of Irvine, and the hometown heroes, Coral Springs Aquacades.
Despite the scorching Florida heat, the atmosphere was nothing short of fun-filled. Spectators were treated to a display of choreographed aquatic routines that combined grace, strength, and impeccable timing.
The local team, Coral Springs Aquacades, emerged as the stars of the weekend, clinching numerous awards.

This year has been particularly successful for the Coral Springs Aquacades. Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the US Junior Olympic Championship, set to take place in Oregon from June 29 to July 6.
The Aquacades will compete in categories including 12U Duet and 12U Team, 13-15 (youth) Duet, Jr. Technical Solo, and Jr. Technical Team, promising to be strong contenders at the national level.
The Coral Springs Aquacades is guided by its coaching staff: Coach Ashley Johnson, Coach Ivana, Coach Amanda, and Coach Fatima have been instrumental in honing the young athletes’ skills and techniques.
