Coral Springs’ popular Hoppin’ Into Springs Egg Hunt returns this year with a new addition aimed at inclusivity: a sensory-friendly egg hunt designed for children with sensory sensitivities.
Set for Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sportsplex Park at 2800 Sportsplex Dr., the free event is open to Coral Springs residents only and invites children ages 3 to 8 to participate in age-appropriate egg hunts throughout the morning.
New this year is a special sensory-friendly egg hunt from 9 to 9:30 a.m., offering a calmer environment for children who may find traditional events overwhelming.
“As an active, healthy, and family-friendly community, this event gives residents a memorable way to connect, celebrate, and enjoy time together,” said Brandon Brader, Special Events and Youth Engagement Manager. “We’re also excited about the added sensory component that will allow children with all abilities to enjoy this community-favorite event.”
Participants should bring their own baskets and arrive at least 15 minutes before their assigned time slot. In addition to hunting for colorful, candy-filled eggs, children will receive themed sunglasses and a ticket for a free sweet treat. Families can also enjoy music from a DJ, arts and crafts, a bounce house, and a special appearance by the Bunny.
Registration is required, and space is limited. Walk-ups will not be permitted.
