Coral Springs Charter infielder Jaxon Krugman has officially committed to Coppin State University in Maryland.
“It feels awesome for my hard work to finally do what I’ve been dreaming of since I was just a kid,” Krugman said.
Krugman started playing tee ball at the age of two before beginning travel baseball six years later. He played for several organizations, including the West Boca Panthers, Florida Pokers, X Team, East Coast Baseball and Hit Dogs OH.
Krugman made his varsity debut as a freshman at Coral Springs High School before transferring to Coral Springs Charter for his junior year. In his first season with the Panthers, he hit .274 with 14 RBIs, six doubles and one triple. Krugman also made six mound appearances and posted a 2.71 ERA.
When deciding where to continue his career, Krugman said the coaching staff played a major role in his decision to commit to Coppin State. He felt comfortable with the staff and bought into the program’s reputation for working hard and grinding alongside his teammates.
