The Sawgrass Nature Center and Animal Hospital will be offering a spring break camp for children aged 6 to 12.
Known as Camp Wild, the camp will be offered from March 16 -20 at the center, which includes a large open area where children can learn and interact with native wildlife.
The camp will be led by Riley Waters, Educational Coordinator, who has a background in environmental science. The children will go on bug hunts, learn about rabbits, and how bees pollinate. There will be activities with a St. Patrick’s Day theme. The children will also see the center’s animals, including an alligator.
“This will be a fun camp for children who are interested in learning about local wildlife,” said Waters.
The cost for non-members is $225 per week and for members, $200 per week.
Drop-off is 9:00 to 9:15 a.m., and pick-up is 3:00 to 3:15 p.m. The Nature Center and Animal Hospital is located at 3000 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs.
