Families can look forward to an afternoon of celebration, community, and holiday spirit as “Chanukah in Coral Springs” returns Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Coral Springs Sportsplex.
The free event, held from 2 to 5 p.m. at Messenheimer Field, 2575 Sportsplex Drive, will feature nonstop activities for all ages. Children can enjoy a full lineup of attractions, including a petting zoo, pony rides, rock climbing, laser tag, zorb balls, bumper cars, flying swings, face painting, balloon art, and an expansive toddler play area. Giant games and additional amusements will keep guests entertained throughout the afternoon.
Even those not planning to hit the rides will find plenty to enjoy. At 4 p.m., the event will host a Grand BMX Bike Show, showcasing high-energy stunts and tricks. The performance leads into two annual traditions: the Chanukah Gelt Drop and the Grand Menorah Lighting with local dignitaries. Organizers say the lighting ceremony aims to illuminate Coral Springs with “Chanukah pride” as the holiday season begins.
Admission is free, and visitors can purchase food and browse offerings from local vendors at a Chanukah boutique.
For families looking to take full advantage of the attractions, activity bracelets are available at a discounted rate in advance—$15 for Basic and $18 for Premium—or at the door for $20 Basic and $25 Premium.
