After Coral Glades football recorded its first win in the city last week, they were back in action this week, along with Coral Springs High School.
The Colts lost to Piper High School 41-0 as the Bengals picked up their fourth straight shutout to begin the season under former Marjory Stoneman Douglas Coach Quentin Short. The Colts are now 0-4 and will play South Plantation High School in their next game on Friday, September 20. The Paladins lost 35-0 in their game against Piper and will be playing CSHS for the first time since 2019.
The Coral Glades football team was coming off a win against Coral Springs High School but lost against Stranahan High School. The Jaguars will prepare for a matchup against Hallandale High School on Friday, September 20, at 7 p.m. The Chargers lost their opening game of the season against McArthur High School 18-15;
The J.P. Taravella football team’s game against Everglades High School was postponed and will be made up in October. 1 The Trojans were 0-3 this year and will face Western High School on Thursday, September 19, at 4 p.m. They beat JPT 51-0 in their only meeting last year and rank 55th in the state of Florida.
Coral Springs Charter had their bye week and will play Pompano Beach High School in their next game on Thursday, September 19, at 7 p.m. The Golden Tornadoes had their only win this year come against J.P. Taravella and lost 27-0 last season against three Panthers.
