Longtime Coral Glades baseball coach Joe Franco has officially accepted a position to become the new Head Coach at Boca Raton Community High School.
Franco coached at Coral Glades for nine years and says he built some incredible relationships. He still gets messages from former players about winning the school’s first District Title in 2018.
“I’ll always be proud of what my coaches and players were able to accomplish there by doing things the right way,” Franco said. “In saying that, I’m extremely excited and honored to bring my 19 years of head coaching experience to the Boca Raton Bobcats Baseball Program.”
Franco also coached at Monarch High School for 10 years, winning two District Titles with each school. He was the Broward County Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2015 and is set to take over a team that has only won 26 games in the past two seasons.
“Boca Raton has produced some talented ball players, and with my coaching philosophy combined with the talent at Boca Raton High School, my hope is that we can take that program to the next level,” Franco added.”
