Coral Glades officially announced the addition of Ernesto Gonzalez as the new high school baseball coach.
He comes to Coral Glades and says he is honored to lead Coral Glades, as the bar has been set high by previous players and coaches.
“Coral Glades is a great school in a great community, and I’m looking forward to leading the men in our baseball program to new heights, both on and off the field,” Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez previously coached at Westminster Academy and was the 2023 Coach of the Year. His team went 12-12 a season ago and has finished with a record of .500 or better for four straight years.
Gonzalez takes over for coach Joe Franco, who recently became the new coach at Boca Raton Community High School. Gonzalez will take over a program that went 14-6 a season ago. The team consists mainly of underclassmen and had three seniors on the team this past season.
