The Coral Glades baseball team started their season off to win an impressive 9-1 victory over South Broward High School Thursday night.
Emanuel Sohit pitched five innings allowing no runs. He also struck out seven and allowed one walk to earn the win while Trace Thelwell and Jonny Melnick hit home runs.
Evan Puccio went 3-4 at the plate as Head coach Joe Franco thought it was an all-out team win and then followed thet up with a 10-0 win over Coconut Creek Friday night. Anthony Quigley threw a perfect game and had eight strikeouts.
Coral Glades is coming off a season in 2021 where they went 3-5 before being shut down but had previously won back-to-back District Championships.
Up next, the Jaguars will take on Pompano Beach on Thursday. February 25, at 6:30 p.m.
