Coming off a tough loss against J.P. Taravella on Wednesday, Coral Glades baseball earned a much-needed win over Piper High School 3-2 on Thursday.
Anthony Quigley earned the victory on the mound as the game was called after five innings due to rain. He allowed one earned run and gave up only three hits while striking out three.
Offensively, Andre Juhasz went 2-2 with a double and a triple. He also scored two runs while Jonny Melnick had the lone other hit in the game.
Both Jon Perez and Trace Thelwell had RBI’s, and Ashton Singpradith had a stolen base and a run scored.
For Head Coach Joe Franco he was pleased with his team’s performance against a D1 USF commit in Connor Manning and thought his defense played well behind Quigley.
Up next, the Jaguars will face American Heritage School on Wednesday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. Both teams have seven wins this year.
