For the first time in nearly a month, the Coral Glades girls basketball team got back to .500 with their win on Monday.
It was also senior night for the Jaguars as Viviana Paucarima and Maddy Milius were honored in their 50-26 victory over South Plantation High School.
Paucarima is playing her third year in the varsity basketball team and is averaging a little less than eight points per game and two steals.
“Vivi is a gym rat,” said Head Coach Donell Carr. “She just loves the game of basketball. We can always count on her being ready to play. Night after night, she prides herself on doing what we been her to do for you to be successful.”
Milius is also in her third year on the varsity team and has scored 77 points coming into this week.

“Maddy has the makings of a great leader,” Coach Carr added. “She is awesome at bringing the girls together and a good communicator that leaves her heart on the floor every night.”
The Jaguars will have one more game left in the regular season on Tuesday, January 25, against Western High School.
This year, the Wildcats are 12-6 and have won three straight games by 28 points. This will be the first matchup between these teams since their 49-17 win in 2019.
