In their second match of the season, the Coral Glades girls volleyball team picked up their first win under head coach Brianna Dawson Wednesday night.
The Jaguars defeated Nova High School 25,17-, 25-19, 23-25, 24-26, 15-11 behind 20 combined kills from Megan Cecil and Aryanna Blanco to move to 1-1 on the season.
“First win as head coach is absolutely huge for me, and for it to be home was the icing on the cake,” said Dawson. “Nova had a dominant senior roster that had great chemistry, but our girls made the right amount of adjustments to handle business.”
The Jaguars team consists of Cecil, Blanco, Lindsey Perlmutter, Olivia Menard, Sam Menard, Amelie Donahue, Yuliana Sanchez, Alyssa Densmore, Katherine Hernandez, Kamila Rivas, Saniyah Tulloch, and Madison Avon.
Next, the Jaguars will play West Broward High School in their next match on Tuesday, September 30 at 6 p.m. before facing Marjory Stoneman Douglas in a District semifinal rematch two days later.
