More than a dozen authors are coming to Coral Glades High School for the school’s first-ever, student-organized book festival.

The “Get Lit! Book Fest” is held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 9 am. – 2:30 pm. The day’s events include individual writing and illustrating workshops, panel discussions, and author book signings.

Open to the public, the $20 ticket price benefits the Coral Glades High School Battle of the Books student organization. Books and Books will also be on-site to sell books.

“I’m so impressed by the work these students have done to organize a day of author talks and invite the whole community,” said visiting author Fred Koehler, a Boston Globe Horn Book Honor Award-winning author and illustrator. “We are going to have an incredible day of fun and learning with book-lovers of all ages.”

Guest authors include Alex Flinn, Stacie Ramey, Gaby Triana, Sherri Winston, Christina Diaz Gonzalez, Ed Masessa, Fred Koehler, Jill Mackenzie, Sarah McGuire, Shel Delisle, Vivi Barnes, Curtis Sponsler, Christina Farley, Kristina Miranda, and Kerry O’Malley Cerra.
