A message from the President of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber:
I am so excited to announce that we have started to have in-person events. It’s been such a long time!
Last month we had our first Coffee and Contacts, hosted by the Ambassador committee. Currently, we are working on transitioning all of our events with the goal to be fully in person by August.
We’ve all been through a lot since March of 2020, and I cannot wait for us to get back to normal! I really want to thank you for your investment in the Chamber over the last year.
I sincerely hope that we were able to assist you during that difficult time and please know that we will continue to do so in the months ahead.
The Board of Directors met last month to finalize our strategic plan for the next two years. Our revised mission statement is “We are the voice of business, the engine for economic growth and the champion for a thriving and welcoming community”.
In the new strategic plan, we have prioritized diversity, equity, inclusion efforts, and workforce development initiatives. I will keep you posted.
Last month the Chamber started a membership committee, and we had a wonderful first meeting. The goal is to champion increased membership of our business community, emphasizing thriving and welcoming communities. If you interested in being a part of this group, reach out to becky@csccrchamber.com
The Chamber’s Annual Legislative update is scheduled for June 15. The panel includes State Rep Dan Daley, State Rep Christine Hunschofsky, Senator Lauren Book, and Broward County Vice Mayor Michael Udine. This event will be on zoom.
This past Memorial Day was a day for us to appreciate and thank our veterans for their service and remember all of those who lost their lives, as well as those currently serving.
I hope you had a chance to celebrate and spend time with family and friends. Now more than ever, I realize how important this is, and I know we appreciate the feeling of “togetherness” more than we imagined.
Looking forward to seeing all of you,
Cindy Brief
