The Coral Springs Charter girls’ cross-country team won first place out of ten teams at the King’s Academy Invitational in West Palm Beach on September 13.
Lily Richardson finished 8th, Alyson Thomas was 13th, Cecilia Kozlowski finished 16th, Sydney McDougall earned 20th, and Taylor Hartley was 28th.
Coach Brantley Barr was very proud of the girls’ team performance. “It was really a full team effort, and they ran close together. It was a nice win for our team,” he said.
The boys’ team finished 8th out of 11 teams, and Lucas Werth earned sixth place for Charter.
Now the boys’ and girls’ teams are preparing for the Spanish River Invitational this weekend in Boca Raton. Barr said the teams will be focused on preparing for this large meet.
