Coral Springs Charter Track and Field Team Wins 2 Events at District Championship

Coral Springs Charter competed in the District Championship at Calvary Christian Academy and had wins from the girls team.

Kendall Parrott won the 3200 meters while Adriana Harris took first in the shot put to help the Panthers finish second as a team. Sarah Manigat finished second in the 100 hurdles, along with similar results from Trinity Dorvil, Anabella Thornberry, and Harris.

Parrott also achieved success in the 1600 meters, finishing third, and was a member of the 4 x 800 relay team, which placed fifth alongside Lily Richardson, Alyson Thomas, and Taylor Hartley. CSC, though, had two relay teams place fourth with Ava Dorvil, Reagan Pinkston, Jordin Sawyer, and Sydney Leath in the 4 x 100 relay and Richardson, Chelsea Garbizo, Lily Ward, and Sarah Manigat in the 4 x 100 relay

The Panthers also had Thomas and Anayah Bell come in fourth in the 3200 meters and triple jump, respectively, while Sydney McDougal and Mia Collela each placed in the top five. Richardson, Kozlowski, Lilia Conticello, Dorvil, and Mackenzie Maniscalco all earned points.

The boy’s team came in ninth, led by Daylen Martineau, who placed second in the pole vault. Drew Masiscalco followed in fourth place while Chase Powell finished sixth and Jordan Head came in seventh.

Justin Laroche, Gerald Tibbetts, Beylian Dejesus, and Shaun Blum placed sixth in the 4 x 100 relay. Christopher Dugar, Shivam Rangoo, Tommy Foster, and Brandon Martinez came in eighth in the 4 x 800 relay.

Blum and Stewart each took sixth on the track while Justin Lacroche also earned a point in the 100 meters with William Urena impressing in the triple jump. CSC will not turn their attention to Regionals next month and look to cement their spot in the State Championship.
