From the Coral Springs City Commission:
November in Coral Springs is a great time to usher in the approaching holiday season with one-of-a-kind events, meaningful experiences, and opportunities to express our thankfulness to the community.
Local pizzerias will be invited to join forces, feed the masses, and compete for bragging rights as part of the City’s Largest Pizza Party 60th Celebration on Saturday, November 4, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts (2855 Coral Springs Drive). From the healthiest pie to the highest dough toss and the longest cheese pull, this celebration will aim to serve scrumptious slices and create community camaraderie. Learn more at coralsprings.gov/pizza.
Lights, camera, popcorn! Residents can bring blankets and lawn chairs for an indoor, holiday-themed movie at the Coral Springs Gymnasium (2501 Coral Springs Drive) as part of Family Fun Night taking place on Wednesday, November 8 at 6 p.m., featuring “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.” Popcorn will be served.
We will, once again, gather this month to show support for our veterans. Our community’s military heroes will be honored with a Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, at 10:45 a.m. at Veterans Park (8601 Royal Palm Blvd) in partnership with the Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs. The event is free and open to the public. For details on all upcoming events, visit coralsprings.gov/events.
We are proud to continually support local military members through meaningful recognition events and programs. We invite all local veterans to participate in our Hometown Heroes banner program. The program was specifically designed to show our hometown pride for the men and women who selflessly serve or have served our nation in the armed forces by displaying individual banners along “Freedom Lane” in Coral Springs. More information can be found at CoralSprings.gov/Heroes.
Have a say in the future of the city! We encourage residents to take the Vision 2035: Impressions on the Future survey and attend our visioning summit on Friday, January 27, 2024, at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts; take the survey and register for the summit at CoralSprings.gov/Visioning.
As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, we would like to use this opportunity to share how grateful we are to be a part of this community and how thankful we are to call Coral Springs home. We appreciate our residents and city supporters who make our city a cohesive community, and we look forward to continuing to work together as we strive to enhance our schools, beautify our neighborhoods, and strengthen our businesses.
