The Coral Springs Clippers 10U baseball team turned in a dominant performance at the USSSA World Series in Pensacola, winning the championship with a perfect 7-0 record.
The Clippers overwhelmed the competition from start to finish, scoring 105 runs while allowing only 14 for an astounding +91 run differential. Their balanced lineup and dominant pitching staff fueled an unforgettable championship run.
Tournament MVP Avery Bruny put together a sensational performance, batting .900 with a home run while also winning the Home Run Derby. Benjamin Gonzalez added two home runs, including the game-winning RBI in the championship game, and closed out the title by pitching the final two innings. Landon Moscaritolo powered the offense with four home runs and posted a remarkable 2.45 OPS.
SJ Swain led the team with a .769 batting average, while Christian Adrian reached base at a .667 clip and scored 10 runs. Lucca Herrera recorded a .533 on-base percentage and drove in five runs. Marshall Simpson crossed the plate 13 times and stole nine bases, while Jace Davis scored 10 runs and added six stolen bases.
The Clippers also received outstanding work on the mound. CJ Pfeiffer threw six scoreless innings, Cooper Haggerty pitched three scoreless innings to go along with two doubles at the plate, and Teddy Hall allowed just one earned run over five innings.
“The title was the culmination of countless hours of hard work from the players, preparation from the coaching staff, and unwavering support from their families,” coach Chad Adrian said. “Throughout the tournament, the Clippers represented Coral Springs with outstanding sportsmanship, determination, and relentless effort on their way to bringing home the World Series championship.”
