As the new school year approaches, we proudly reaffirm our commitment to the students, teachers, and school staff of Coral Springs. Our community is home to some of the highest-rated public, charter, and private schools in the region. Our Vision to Action Town Hall takes place on Tuesday, August 12, at the Commission Chambers located in City Hall (9500 W Sample Road). This forum will open conversation about what our city has accomplished through feedback from resident survey taken by residents regarding our events, parks, education, economic development, and more.
Tickets are still available for the International Dinner Dance taking place on Saturday, August 23 at 7 p.m. at the Marriott Heron Bay (11775 Heron Bay Blvd). Hosted annually by the Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee, this year’s event will celebrate the vibrant culture of Haiti – featuring authentic cuisine, music, and dance.
Committed to providing the community with transparency, the City of Coral Springs Department of Budget and Strategy will host a one-hour virtual Budget Academy session on August 20 from 12 to 1 pm. Register on our website, coralsprings.gov/budgetacademy.
Plus, don’t miss our Budget & Brews education series, taking place at local coffee shops across the city on August 18 through August 22. Residents are invited to join experts from our Budget & Sustainability Department to ask questions and learn more about our city’s budget process. As your City Commission, we are committed to strengthening our connections with residents and business owners in Coral Springs. Our goal is to enhance engagement and foster open communication, and we invite you to be a part of this endeavor! Whether you represent a Homeowners’ Association (HOA) or a local clergy, we want to work together to build a stronger community through participation and interaction in your meetings and events. We encourage you to participate in our public Commission meetings, community forums and other events or connect with us on social media.
The next Commission meetings will take place on Wednesday, August 6 at 9 a.m. and Wednesday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725 and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Meetings are also live-streamed at CoralSprings.gov/CityTV.
