Coral Springs Commission: Kick Off the New Year With Art Therapy, Community Events, and Business Awards Nominations
January 1, 2026 • By Guest Contributor
A new year brings new possibilities and opportunities for the City of Coral Springs to progress toward a bright and promising future.
We remain committed to supporting our local veterans and identifying meaningful experiences for our teens. The Coral Springs Museum of Art is hosting Art Therapy for Veterans and Teens, guided by a board-certified art therapist. These small-group sessions offer a safe space for emotional processing and connection through creative expression. The next sessions will take place on January 2 and January 16.
A reminder that under City Ordinance 2025-11, e-scooters and e-bikes are permitted on sidewalks when operated safely. Devices may not exceed 15 MPH, and riders must slow to 5 MPH when within 25 feet of a pedestrian. The reason we enacted this ordinance is to protect the many people using these micromobility devices as a form of transportation, especially our youngest residents travelling to and from school.
Dedicated to honoring local businesses that contribute to the financial vitality of the city, the City of Coral Springs Economic Development Office is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Business Excellence Awards. The awards are given annually to businesses located in Coral Springs that exemplify good business practices in one of seven categories. Applications will be accepted through Thursday, February 27.
