With a little luck and a lot of community spirit, Coral Springs comes to life this March with engaging activities and meaningful opportunities for residents of all ages to connect and celebrate.
We’ll kick off the month with a bit of Irish luck at the city’s annual Blarney Bash, celebrating Irish culture on Friday, March 6, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the City Hall Lawn, (9500 W. Sample Road). This free, family-friendly event will feature food trucks, games, and more. Enjoy live entertainment from the Byrne Brothers, a multi-award winning Irish band. For details, visit CoralSprings.gov/blarneybash.
On Saturday, March 7, from 9 to 11 a.m., the Coral Springs Police Department, in partnership with Shred Monkeys, will host a free Shred-A-Thon for city residents at the Sportsplex (2575 Sportsplex Drive). This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive documents.
This spring break, enjoy Fun Days on Monday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mullins Hall, (10170 NW 29th Street). Children in first through sixth grade can enjoy a full day of activities. This program is open to Coral Springs residents only. There is still time to register for Spring Break Camps and pre-register for Summer Camp. Visit CoralSprings.gov/camps for more information.
The Coral Springs Police Self-Defense Class will be held on Monday, March 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This free class provides practical, real-life safety skills. Space is limited, and registration is required through the city’s website.
Get ready our annual Hoppin’ Into Springs event on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sportsplex Park, (2800 Sportsplex Drive). Children ages 3 to 8 will hunt for eggs during assigned age-group time slots and enjoy crafts, a bounce house, and a special visit from the bunny. This event is for residents only. For more information and registration, visit CoralSprings.gov/egghunt.

Finally, March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions, achievements, and resilience of women throughout history. Take a moment to thank a woman in your life who has inspired you.
This month’s Commission Meetings will take place on Wednesday, March 4, and Wednesday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. As always, the public is invited to attend Commission meetings. The meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725, and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Meetings are also live-streamed on CityTV.
