Eight years after the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, our community continues to honor the lives lost and the countless individuals forever impacted. On February 14, we encourage residents to remember the faculty and students by performing an act of kindness or service that positively impacts the lives of others, keeping their legacy alive through compassion and action.
We are also excited to share important updates about our city’s progress during our annual State of the City address on Saturday, February 7. Residents are invited to attend in person or tune in live on CityTV. State of the City begins at 5 p.m. and will be followed by our Community Concert Celebration on the City Hall Lawn (9500 W. Sample Road), starting at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy an energetic performance by Absolute Queen, a nationally acclaimed Queen tribute band known for recreating the explosive sound, visuals, and sing-along anthems of an early 1980s Queen concert.
Let’s Glow Crazy! Wear neon and light up the night at our Glow Party on Friday, February 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy games, dancing, a graffiti wall, and more. Tickets are $8 per person when purchased online. More information and tickets are available at CoralSprings.gov/glow.
Residents can safely dispose of a wide range of household hazardous materials during our Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Special Collection Day on Saturday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westside Complex, 4181 NW 121 Avenue. Residents are invited to Meet Your Municipal Team on Saturday, February 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cypress Park (1301 Coral Springs Drive). These informal, family-friendly gatherings provide an opportunity to connect directly with city leadership, learn about city programs and projects, and share ideas
Two exhibitions are currently on view through February 21 at the Coral Springs Museum of Art (2855A Coral Springs Drive). Underneath the Surface of Sight by Lisa MacNamara explores vulnerability and resilience. Casa Dolce Casa by Tommaso Fattovich examines the concept of home as both sanctuary and paradox.
The Museum is also hosting Art @ Night on Thursday, February 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This 21+ event features art, music, mingling, beer, and wine. This month, we honor the rich culture of Black History with performative art and activities.

This month’s Commission Meetings will take place on Wednesday, February 4 at 9 a.m. and Wednesday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. As always, the public is invited to attend Commission meetings.
