Prost! Oktoberfest returns on Saturday, October 4, from 4 to 10 p.m. on the City Hall Lawn (9500 W. Sample Road). Join us for an evening of Bavarian cuisine, German brews, fun activities for all ages and the return of the fan-favorite Wiener Dog Race! October is also Fire Safety Month. Don’t miss our Fire Safety Jamboree on Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coral Square Mall (9469 W. Atlantic Boulevard). The event features live demos on kitchen safety, hands-on fire hose training, and more. It’s a great opportunity to connect with local firefighters and learn life-saving tips. It’s time for spooky thrills and Halloween chills! The city’s Thrills ‘N Chills Indoor Carnival will take place on Saturday, October 18, at the Coral Springs Gymnasium (2501 Coral Springs Drive) with two convenient sessions (3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.). Enjoy a haunted walk-through, carnival games, music, crafts and more. Tickets are $5 per person if purchased online by October 17 and $8 at the door. Join the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department for their Annual Cancer Awareness Pasta Dinner on Saturday, October 25, from 5 to 9 p.m., hosted at Fire Station #80 (2825 Coral Springs Drive). An $8.00 donation includes pasta & meatballs, bread and a beverage. Proceeds benefit the Coral Springs Professional Firefighters Benevolent Association and other local charities. Budget hearings were held last month to adopt the city’s budget for fiscal year 2026. A great deal of time, attention and planning goes into the budget process, and as your elected officials, we are committed to ensuring fiscal responsibility while meeting the needs of running a progressive and innovative city. This month’s Commission Meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 15, at 6:30 p.m. As always, the public is invited to attend Commission meetings. The meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725 and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Meetings are also live-streamed on CityTV.
